Questions
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything happens inside your browser. Your files are never sent to a server and are cleared from memory when you click Start over or leave the page.
What is “Basic compression”?
Each page is redrawn as a JPG picture at the quality you choose. It works great for scans and photos. Text becomes part of the picture, so you can no longer select or search it.
Why didn't I get a smaller file?
Some PDFs, especially ones that are mostly text, are already very compact. If compressing would make the file bigger, we tell you and you simply keep your original.
Can I use a password-protected PDF?
Not yet. Remove the password first (for example by printing to a new PDF), then try again.
